Though they parted ways while Barker was growing up, they were supportive parents who were supportive of his career from day one of it. Barker’s mother, Matilda was a school teacher while his father, Byron, was the foreman on the electrical high line through the state of Washington.
It is unknown when they tied the knot but they parted ways in 1929 having Bob as their only child. Having said that, Bob’s mother remarried and has another son called Kent Valandra.
Both parents of the late Bob are no more. His father passed away in 1929, in Washington, United States. His mother on the other hand passed away on February 26, 1989, in Los Angeles County, California, USA at the age of 91.
