Meyers participated in college football at NC State before signing a free agent contract with the Patriots in 2019. Meyers attended Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, Georgia, where he played high school football.
From 2015 through 2018, Meyers was a player at NC State. Meyers was first pursued as a quarterback, but after his freshman year, during which he redshirted and played a significant role on the scout team, he switched to receiver.
He collected 168 receptions for 1,932 yards and 9 touchdowns throughout the course of his career. He declared for the 2019 NFL Draft after his junior season. In 2018, Meyers eclipsed Torry Holt’s NC State single-season receptions record with 92 catches.
